Use the built-in 4X zoom viewfinder, aim at a matte surface or target plate, and mount the device on a 1/4″-20 tripod. For best results, use the delayed capture function to reduce hand shake.
Can I save photos with the measurements?
Yes. You can capture a photo with the distance overlay, so you’ll always know exactly where the measurement was taken.
How can I check calibration myself?
Use the device to measure 2 ft and compare the result with a tape measure. Repeat three times. If the difference is consistently greater than ±1/16″, please click Contact Us to reach our support team.
What if the screen looks washed out in sunlight?
Increase screen brightness, use the viewfinder hood or your hand to shade it, and stand with your back to the sun.

No—this is normal. Use the viewfinder crosshair or a target card instead of relying on the dot.

Yes, It can handle light rain, but don’t recommend using it in wet conditions,as heavy rain or water spray may affect the laser beam and affact measurement accuracy.
